Defining an upsurge in tension
 
With series two of Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi drama Falling Skies about launch, every1 was appointed to deliver original key art for press, outdoor and print advertising and a smartphone app which would be used for social marketing as part of the wider campaign in the UK. An important factor in the successful imagery was that it should define series two as a bigger, more action-packed follow-up, building on the loyalty of season one’s audience and attracting a new influx of viewers. The imagery every1 used conveys the personalities of individual characters – already established in season one, yet also easily identifiable archetypes for a new audience – while the dramatic landscape places the forthcoming action in an apocalyptic city environment menaced by aliens.
